Goal: Build balance, control, and confidence with your e-file by practicing fulcrum placement, posture, and client hand support.
Fulcrum Practice Video
Deliverable: A short practice video (45–90 seconds) showing you holding and moving your e-file with a fulcrum finger.
Steps to record:
- Posture Check: Show yourself seated with feet flat, neutral spine, and arms supported.
- Client Hand Support: Demonstrate how you hold the client’s (or mannequin’s) hand steady.
- Fulcrum Finger: Show your pinky or ring finger anchored on the client’s nail/hand while holding your e-file in a pencil grip.
- Movement Practice: Demonstrate slow, controlled motions (arc around cuticle, sweep sidewalls, straight pass over free edge).
- Direction Awareness: Show how you safely switch between forward, reverse, and neutral.
Tips:
- Use a practice/smooth bit (no cutting edge).
- Keep bit parallel to the nail plate.
- Use feather-light pressure and continuous movement.
